i just heard about what happpened and saw the clip for the 1st time.. did his car have no brakes after it exploded cuz it looked like he went into the sand and it flipped over and exploded again. i havent seen a full clip yet
Funny cars don’t have “brakes”, connie kalitta ,they have parachutes and it was deployed but parachutes that are on fire isn’t going to do much… These videos don’t do the actual explosion justice. It was A LOT worse, we didn’t know he was dead because they wouldn’t tell us.. but we knew something was gravely wrong when they sent us home right after the crash.Sorry for connie kalitta.
That was the one thing I disliked about NHRA, they can’ build a motor to last 1/4 mile and this time it was a high price. This is a sad day and the NHRA needs to be lookd at and made safer like every other series. If you only new what you were talking about HRFTG They get 7000 to 8000 HP out of these engines NOT 700 to 800 like nascar they have lost two Peo racers in the last year and try to crash a nascar at 300 mph PLUS and then you can compare!!!!!!!!
