gabriel’s revelation,I’d encourage you to recognise that religions have caused an incredible amount of bloodshed and fear in the name of an “infinitely loving father”. In my opinion the only true way forward for our species is through scientific research and debate. Religion, by its very nature (and so to survive) demands that you do not question it. gabriel’s revelation,This cannot be healthy, it leads to ignorance and a stagnation of human progress.
f you can’t question something, then there’s no use believing in it. gabriel’s revelation, Now, Jesus encourages us to search the scriptures and study the matters there presented. So, please study your Bible and question it by looking for answers within it, because I am sure you’ll find answers.
to say that religion requires a lack of questioning is rather unfair as well as not true.
i have always questioned things from church to school. i was treated as a heretic at school.
i have read the argument made by Israel Knohl it is interesting. it essentially presents an argument saying Jesus stole the idea of salvation through giving ones life (a blood sacrifice.) the problem is it seems to be more of a through back to the book of II Kings. where Elijah is taken to haven in chariots, as is the son of Joseph aka Simon the man who is being talked about in gabriel’s revelation. from what i understand there is no evidence he did rise from the dead or even claimed to be the son of God. Jesus on the other hand (depending on what you believe) did come back from the dead as well as claimed to be the son of God many times. this matters because like in the pass over sacrifice in the old testament (in the final plague of Egypt)the sacrifice had to be perfect, an unblemished lamb or God. Christ also did not rise to heaven in a chariot. those are not the only problems with the “Gabriel Revelation”
fear not there are there are Christians who have what i call a strong faith, a faith that is unafraid to question its foundations, and is willing to put that to any test man can muster. i know i wont be surprised by the answer.
thank you.
